Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)---A New AC Transit Bus Project

Will Change International Blvd. Forever

International Blvd merchants are organizing to be heard. Join San Antonio and Eastlake merchants as they meet with City and AC Transit representatives, elected official and attorney, to make sure their concerns about the BRT are addressed. 




  What are some of the changes? AFTER construction:

  • Approximately 500 existing parking spaces will be removed from International.
    International Blvd. will be a two-lane street rather than a four lane street, impacting
         loading and unloading. 
    Most left turns from International will be prohibited

 Why these meetings are so important?

Because we put the pressure on, as AC-Transit will present a plan to the City Council in April 2014.  We need to make sure this plan addresses our concerns!

Graffiti removal and litter clean up event for East Lake: March 1, 2014

Dear Merchants, Leaders, Neighbors and Friends,
The Eastlake Merchants Association, EBAYC and Oakland City Council President Patricia Kernighan (District 2 Councilmember) cordially invite you to participate in the upcoming Eastlake Community Graffiti Removal and Litter Clean Up Event.  It will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  The group will meet at Clinton Park ( 7th Ave and International Blvd ) and will remove graffiti and litter between 3th Ave and 10th Ave along International Blvd and E. 12th St .   
A flyer is attached for your information and wide distribution.   Everyone is invited and supplies will be provided.  We will have music and lunch right after the event !  Please come and volunteer or just come and show your support for a better, cleaner and safer community!

International Blvd merchants are organizing to be heard. Join Fruitvale, San Antonio and Eastlake merchants as they meet with City and AC Transit representatives, elected official and attorney, to make sure their concerns about the BRT are addressed.  






We are meeting every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of very month to get organized! Next Meeting: Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 2:30 pm at EBAYC- 2025 E. 12th St.
