International Blvd merchants are organizing to be heard. Fruitvale, San Antonio and Eastlakemerchants are coming up with a united front to pressure AC Transit and the City of Oakland to adopt local business proposals to address impacts during and after construction of the BRT.
Speak on merchant-proposed solutions to:
Provide solutions for parking losses
Ensure a safer environment for businesses and customers
Provide for more left turns along the Blvd.
Ensure that existing loading zones will remain
Provide business financial relief for losses during construction
Set aside a relocation fund for those businesses that will be forced to close by this project
Why this meetings is so important?
Because merchants need to pressure the AC-Transit and the City of Oakland for our proposed solutions on parking, and business mitigations, to be included on the final AC-transit’s BRT plan. This plan will be approved by the City Council on July 2014.
Please attend this Merchant Meeting on:

Rapid Transit (BRT)---A New AC Transit Bus Project

Change International Blvd. Forever
International Blvd merchants are organizing to be

What
are some of the changes? AFTER construction:
Approximately 500 existing parking spaces will be
removed from International.
International Blvd. will be a two-lane street rather

Most left
turns from International will be prohibited
Why this
meetings is so important?

present a plan to the City Council in May 2014 to address project mitigations. We need to make sure this plan addresses our
